Happy life in Utajärvi
Utajärvi is studied to be a municipality of happy people. Indeed, in a municipality, people are really taken into account in decision-making. In daycare, children will even be petted to their afternoon nap. Communality is indeed present throughout the municipality. In the GeoHouse Älykylä®, the happiness of residents is also an important part. Communality, economic sustainability, and ease of living enhance happiness. With the GeoHouse Älykylä® project and a municipally approved family package for children, the municipal population has begun to grow after 30 years of decline. Become one of the happy citizens of Utajärvi too.
Utajärvi municipality has decided to build a new multifunctional center and day care center. The vibrant municipality is indeed growth-oriented and inspiring. Jobs are also available in many sectors and there are good conditions for doing business. The location near Oulu also offers plenty of opportunities for work, hobbies and culture.
As the average construction costs of the GeoHouse Älykylä® are more moderate, we calculated a cost of constructing a detached house of EUR 172,000. The deductible is 10% of the total construction costs and investments distributed to the shareholders. The 10 % deductible will be about EUR 19,000 per shareholder. These prices will be specified as the design progresses.
GeoHouse Älykylä® produces the necessary electricity and heat itself. Investment in shared energy production and distribution network brings substantial savings to monthly costs. In a hybrid solution, energy is produced most of the year from the sun using solar panels and cells. In winter, the need for energy is greater, and no sun is available. At wintertime, energy will be produced with a CHP plant, which uses wood to produce electricity and heat. Energy efficiency is ensured by the smart technology that optimizes the energy use of buildings, home technology, and the entire area, which also brings care-freeness and easiness to all operations. According to our calculation, savings in living costs can exceed EUR 300 per month, i.e. EUR 3.600 per year.
